Mandy opened the bag of pot. After sorting the leaves from the stems and seeds, she rolled it up, nice and tight.

She lit the joint with a match and took a long drag on it. She held in the hot vapors until she thought her lungs would explode before releasing it with a sigh.

Jeremy was still on his back, oblivious to her attempt to hand him the joint. Mandy looked for somewhere to put it, but since it was a non-smoking room, there wasn’t an ashtray in sight. She settled for resting it on the nightstand, hanging its lit end over the edge so that the ashes would flicker to the floor.

Now for that LSD tab.

Mandy reached for it but paused before cutting it open. How much of this should we ingest, she wondered. Since there’s two of us, splitting the tab should make it safer.

She didn’t really know what she was doing, so she improvised. Grabbing a water glass, she emptied the tab into it, filled it with water, and then stirred it with one of the plastic spoons beside the coffee maker.

Mandy giggled. “Here I come, big boy.” Humming, she began a striptease: ripping the buttons off her shirt and shimmying out of her jeans. After yanking off her panties, she threw them at Jeremy’s face.

They landed on his head. He held them to his nose and sniffed. “Nice,” he murmured.

“Hey, look this way! You’re missing the show!” To make her point, Mandy unhooked her bra and twirled it over her head.
